Ukrainian Foreign Ministry again disproved information that the pro-government military forces allegedly used cluster bombs in the country's east and urged the Human Rights Watch to be more responsible when making such statements.

“We more than once disproved information, including earlier released [reports of] Human Rights Watch, on allegedly use of cluster bombs by the Ukrainian military. We made it clear that such type of arms isn’t used by them that the military forces don’t shell residential areas that might cause killings of civilians. The OSCE SMM also stated about absence of the information on the use of cluster bombs by the Ukrainian military men,” the ministry said in the report handled to Interfax-Ukraine on Wednesday.

The ministry said that it proposed the Human Rights Watch to send the experts to Ukraine in October to carry a proper investigation.

The ministry stressed that it is open for cooperation with all international experts over this issue.

“The other day there was a chance for Human Rights Watch representatives to discuss all the issues possible they were interested in at all the establishments they wanted, Defense Ministry, Foreign Ministry and others, and to receive detailed answers. That’s why today’s statements of the organization’s executive director surprised us, frankly speaking, since in October they weren’t underpinned by any evidences,” the report from the ministry said adding that such serious accusations with no doubt must be based on the results of the thorough investigation involving experienced and independent experts.

The ministry warned the international experts, Human Rights Watch as well, to be especially careful not to be a weapon in the hands of the terrorists and people, who support them.
