You're reading: Ukrainian police: Nearly 400 militants arrested during Donbas operation

A total of 393 people of interest have been identified in militants' cases during the army operation in Donbas, and 374 of them have been arrested; another 1,016 persons are wanted, Ukrainian Interior Ministry's department in the Donetsk region chief Vyacheslav Abroskyn has said.

“During the war in Ukraine which started in
April of last year, the police and attached forces operating in the
Donetsk region have documented criminal activity of 1,409 ring members
who will be held liable under part 5 article 260 of the Ukrainian
Criminal Code sooner or later,” Abroskyn wrote on Facebook on May 11
evening.

He said the identification of persons formerly or currently involved
in the militia of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic
continued.
