PRISTINA, Kosovo (AP) — Authorities say a French-Turkish consortium has won the bidding for a US$126 million (€100 million) contract to run Kosovo's only airport for the next 20 years.

Under the deal Limak-Aeroport de Lyon will also add a new passenger terminal at Pristina International Airport.

The consortium beat Turkish-German group Fraport-ICTAS and the Bouygues Batiment-Egis-PAIC international consortium for the contract announced Friday.

Pristina airport, which sees some 1.2 million passengers pass through each year, makes an annual profit of about US$14 million (€100 million).

Kosovo has moved to privatize its airport, telecom and power company since declaring independence from Serbia in 2008.
