LONDON, May 6 (Reuters) - A man dressed as a Muslim woman in all-enveloping burkha and hijab robbed a jewellery shop in Bury, Greater Manchester Police police said on Thursday.
Two accomplices, one of whom had a shotgun, barged into the shop with the man on Wednesday, May 5, and stole bangles, rings and lockets before escaping in a waiting car.
Greater Manchester has a large Muslim community, mostly from South Asia, and traditional Muslim dress is common.
Police are appealing for information on the robbery.
