A medical rescue worker was shot and feared dead on Saturday in Bangkok during fighting between protesters and troops seeking to isolate a sprawling protest encampment, a witness said.
The volunteer was trying to reach a wounded protester when he was shot, said the witness, who is also a rescue worker. It was unclear who shot him.
