MOSCOW - Montenegro hopes to become a full-fledged member of NATO in mid-2017, the country's Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic has said.
“Usually, this procedure (accession to NATO) takes around a year. We believe that we will become a full-fledged member of NATO in the middle of 2017,” he told Russia’s Dozhd television station.
“The talks on our country’s accession to the alliance will be completed in a month or a month and a half. Afterwards, this will have to be ratified by the member countries,” he added.
