WASHINGTON, May 11 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama is actively engaged in trying to ensure the European financial crisis does not hurt the U.S. or global economic recovery, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said on Tuesday, May 11.
Gibbs said Obama had spoken by phone to Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero about structural reforms in Spain.
