WASHINGTON, June 23 (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama has chosen General David Petraeus to replace Stanley McChrystal as the top U.S. general in Afghanistan, an Obama administration official said on Wednesday.
McChrystal was relieved of his command after making disparaging comments about Obama officials in a magazine article.
