TBILISI - Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili was unanimously elected the chairman of the ruling party Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia at its fourth congress in Tbilisi on Saturday.

Taking part in the congress are about 10,000 people, including the party founder and former prime minister, Bidzina Ivanishvili.

Journalists were told the congress was also expected to endorse a new composition of the party’s political council and a new charter.
