LONDON - Six world powers will present a proposal for a further round of sanctions against Iran to the U.N. Security Council next week, diplomats familiar with the process said on Friday.

The EU3+3 — the United States, Britain, France, Germany, Russia and China — will put forward the proposal for a fourth round of sanctions with the aim of getting a Security Council resolution passed by mid-June, the sources said.

"The intention is to have a resolution by the second week of June," said one of the sources, who is closely following discussions among the parties.
