(AP)- Ukraine has banned poultry imports from Turkey and Romania, which have confirmed cases of bird flu, the veterinary department said Oct. 10.
Ukrainian veterinary officials are “watching the situation,” the statement said. It offered no further details.
There have been no recorded cases of bird flu in Ukraine. Earlier this year, Ukraine banned poultry imports from Russia, Kazakhstan, South Korea and Japan due to bird flu outbreaks in those countries.
