KYIV (AP) – Six people, including two U.S. residents, died on Wednesday when a car and a bus collided in Ukraine, traffic police said.

The car crossed into the oncoming lane in the western Rivena region and hit a bus carrying eight passengers, said regional traffic police spokesman Vasyl Petryk.

Three bus passengers, including two children, and the passenger in the car, died at the scene of the early morning accident, while the bus driver and five passengers were hospitalized, said Petryk. Two of the injured died at the hospital.

Two of the dead and one of the injured were Ukrainian citizens who live in the United States, he said.
