Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has again topped the eighth ranking of the 100 most influential Ukrainian women according to the Focus magazine.

“According to the editorial board, the impact of Yulia Tymoshenko has
only intensified despite her two-year imprisonment, especially now,
when the geopolitical future of the country depends on her fate,” the
magazine’s press service reported on Thursday.

First Deputy Head of Ukraine’s Presidential Administration Iryna
Akimova and Head of the Anti-AIDS Foundation Olena Pinchuk retained
their positions in the rating, at second and third respectively.

The top ten has not changed significantly compared to last year’s
ranking. Valentyna Arbuzova, who ranks fifth, strengthened her position.

“Under her leadership the All-Ukrainian Development Bank, which was
owned by Oleksandr Yanukovych, is showing impressive results,” reads the
report.

The participants in the ranking were evaluated by the country’s most
powerful men, who had to choose the 100 most influential women in
politics, business, science, sports, show business and the media.
Experts estimated women using five criteria: the ability to influence
government decisions, business impact, impact on public opinion,
personal fame, and kinship.

Tymoshenko has headed the ranking of the most influential Ukrainian women according to Focus eight times.
