Plenty of venues in Kyiv are hosting events to mark Saint Patrick’s Day, starting on March 17 and lasting through March 19. The Kyiv Post has compiled a list of the best places in the Ukrainian capital in which to celebrate Ireland’s national day.

A Saint
Patrick’s Day parade will start on March 19 at 13. p. m. near the Taras
Shevchenko monument in the park near Lva Tosltoho metro station. From the
gathering point, participants will parade to Zoloti Vorota metro station, then Sophia
Square, pass down Andriyivsky Uzviz, and wind up their walk on Kontraktova Square. Organizers request that participants wear
green-colored clothes and accessories.
Pub special offers on March 17
To Dublin Irish pub (4 Okipnoi St.) will celebrate Saint
Patrick’s Day with musicians playing traditional Irish tunes accompanied by a dance
performance. The pub will also have special green beer on sale for the
occasion.
Golden Gate Irish Pub (15 Zolotovorotska St.) will kick
off its Green Rock Party with live music and special drink offers at 7 p.m.
Although there is no dress code, the pub will give “céad mile fáilte” (a hundred thousand welcomes) to
people wearing green clothes.
O’Brien’s Pub (17A Mykhailivska St.) offers
visitors a performance by the Irish Dance School FireDance at 7 p.m. The folk
ensemble Bis-Quit will start performing at 9 p.m. The entrance fee is Hr 100.
O’Connor’s Irish Pub (15/8 Khoryva St.) offers a live
music and entertaining quizzes on Ireland, with prizes. The bar is also
offering a 50-percent discount on Guinness beers for the night.
The Porter pub chain will welcome visitors in green clothes on Saint Patrick’s
Day, and promises them some small gifts. The pubs in the chain will also offer
special green beer to celebrate the holiday.
A live music performance and Irish dance
masterclasses will top the bill at Andrew’s Irish Pub (22/17 Konstyantynivska St.) on Saint Patrick’s Day.
Events start at 8 p.m., and the entrance fee is Hr 200. To order a table, call

March 18
Bochka pub (19A Khreshyatyk St.) will hold
its Saint Patrick’s Day celebrations on March 18. The pub will have a discount
on Guinness, and clients will be entertained by covers of famous songs, played
by the Kyiv-based Hot Guys band.
March 19
Docker pub (25 Bohatyrska St.) is celebrating Saint
Patrick’s Day on March 19 with a live performance by the Ukrainian band Karliki
Brokkoli. The concert starts at 10 p.m. Tickets are available at docker.com.ua
for Hr 75-100.
Ukrop restaurant (13V Moskovsky Ave.) kicks
off its Saint Patrick’s Day party with games, presents and live music at 7 p.m on
March 19. Tickets are on sale online at parter.com.ua for Hr 80. The event will
start with live music.
