Kyiv Half Marathon

The sixth annual Nova Poshta Kyiv Half Marathon 2016 offers amateur and professional a challenging 21-kilometer run through Kyiv. The main route leads from Kontraktova Square to Dnipro metro station, then on to Trukhaniv Island, along General Vatutin Avenue, and back to Kontraktova Square. The entry fee of Hr 450 covers snacks, water and electronic chips that track a person’s location and final result. Runners can also opt for shorter races of 10, 5 or 2 kilometers. Registration closes on April 10.

Prodigy

A legend of the 1990s, British electronic music band Prodigy returns to Kyiv for their fourth show. The musicians will perform songs from their latest album “The Day Is My Enemy.”

‘Gisele’ by Kyiv Modern Ballet


Kyiv Modern Ballet, the country’s leading modern dance theater, led by prominent choreographer Radu Poklitaru, presents its new performance of “Gisele” on April 9, 10. The ballet is a modern interpretation of the classic ballet by Adolphe Adam.

‘Hangmen’ (British National
Theatre Live)

The 2015 play by Martin McDonagh, a prominent Irish director
who filmed “In Bruges” and “Seven Psychopaths,” tells the story of the last
hangmen in England after the abolition of capital punishment. Darly comic, the
play opened to rave reviews in Britain and has been nominated for numerous
awards.

Japanese Drummers Show

This show by Japanese musicians Dadada-Dan Tenko combines
traditional drum instruments, acting and dance. The Osaka-based band was
founded in 1987 by dancer and choreographer Isaya Mondori.
