You're reading: SunSay

SunSay’s concerts are becoming a good tradition at Art Club 44. This time, the band is going to present their second album, “Diver.”

On this record, the SunSay gang – Serhiy Balalayev on drums, Yephim Chupakhin on keyboard, Bek Bekson on guitar, Serhiy Klevensky on wind instruments, and, of course, soloist Andriy Zaporozhets are all there.

They perform in collaboration with Russian percussionist and drummer Vlad Okunev, Canadian band Groove Hammer, Ukrainian jazz singer Anna Chaykovska and vocal percussionist Fame.

The main man behind SunSay is Zaporozhets, a.k.a. Sun, who emerged as an outstanding musician while still playing in the amazing 5’nizza duet with partner Serhiy Babkin. Zaporozhets founded SunSay in 2007. His talents for performing a whole range of styles – from funk to reggae, rock to hip-hop – are masterfully fused into his new project. He does a full-powered style mix better than anyone else on the Ukrainian music scene today. Moreover, SunSay is not only versatile but multilingual, with songs written in Russian, Ukrainian and English.
