On Dec. 18, we celebrate International Migrants Day. With its coronavirus crisis, the year 2020 made us look differently at migration at personal, state and community levels. The border closures equalized those who used to flying business class and those who borrowed money for a bus ticket to go abroad for work: all had to stay at home. Issues that have long been spelt out in state documents have become more relevant than ever.
