In the last two years, Ukraine has made giant strides towards a low-carbon future. Unbeknownst to many, 12.3% of its energy production now comes from renewables, which is comparable to many EU countries. Behind the green drive are the highest green tariffs in Europe. It is them that attracted investments from around the world and injected fresh blood into Ukraine’s dilapidated, oligarch-dominated power system.
