Ukraine’s local election season continues in the second half of November with a series of second-round runoff votes to elect mayors across the country. On Nov. 15, incumbent mayors Hennady Trukhanov in Odesa and Motherland’s Oleksandr Lysenko in Sumy won their respective runoffs decisively, while Andriy Pankov lost re-election in Kramatorsk. In open seats, Svoboda won another western Ukrainian mayorship in Kamianets-Podilskiy; Ihor Kolykhayev ushered in a new era in Kherson with a big victory over a former three-term mayor; and the For the Future party maintained its grip on the city of Lutsk.
