Yatsenyuk’s Gamble: While Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk’s government survived the “no confidence” vote in February, the Premier is working on borrowed time. Granted, the government cannot be dismissed until the “next session” of Parliament, which would presumably be in late August or early September. As the Kenny Rogers song the “Gambler” said, “you’ve got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em, know when to walk away and know when to run….” If Yatsenyuk has his way, he prefers to “hold em” and hold onto his position longer. However there are three scenarios which could terminate Yatsenyuk’s current 24 month run as Prime Minister prior to autumn:
