Odesa graffiti-wall set up a record
The biggest street art painting, Geneva Art Wall,
opened in Odesa. The legends and tales of Odesa are depicted over 300 square
meters. There are twenty-four different characters, some of them are real, some
are fictional; they are all well-known and adored far beyond the city line.
The project involved over 10 people including the idea
initiators, image developers, experts in Odesa history and local team of
artists, ‘Peach’. This is not the team’s first street art project but first in
its scale: one and a half month of work, half a ton of paint and a lot of
skills.
All of them can be seen on 32 Yevreyskaya Street in
the courtyard of Hotel Geneva.

American analysts boosted Ukraine’s army rating
According to Business Insider magazine (USA) Ukraine’s
military has risen to the 21st place in the World’s Most Powerful Armies ranking.
The indexes show that Ukraine has increased its tank
number up to 4,000 pieces (in comparison with 1,700 pieces last year) and
aircraft number up to 400 pieces. The ability of Ukraine’s militaries for war fighting
was put on the 6th place.
Yet the budget of Ukraine’s army is just on the 43th
place.
The ranking countries-leaders are USA, Russia and
China.

Rocket carrier co-developed by Ukrainians successfully launched in USA
July 13, 2014 Antares rocket carrier designed jointly with Ukrainian state enterprise ‘KB ‘Yuzhnoye’ was successfully
launched at Flight Facility on the East Coast, Virginia, USA.
Antares will deliver to the International Space
Station Cygnus satellite weighing over 1,5 ton that will bring to the station nearly 1.5 tons of scientific
equipment and food for astronauts.
Green energy production is supported by Ukrainian state
The second stage of biogas power plant opened in Pidhirtsi village, Kyiv Oblast.
Geoffrey R.Pyatt, the USA Ambassador to Ukraine,
positively appreciated Ukraine’s progress in alternative energy projects
realization, ‘Such projects and their state support attract investors from all
over the world. I do hope that such projects will help Ukraine on its way to
energy independence’.
The first stage of biogas plant in Pidhirtsi village
was opened in 2012. The project covers the building of complex engineering
construction with biogas gathering system for further energy production. The
power plant operation term is about 15 years.

New modern tomograph installed in a Chernihiv regional clinic
The only in region multydetector computer tomograph is installed in Chernihiv regional cardiology dispensary. Thus the center can
provide a wide range of services to their patients. The device cost is about
USD 1 million and was purchased jointly with private clinic Euroscan. The new
equipment will enable to diagnose diseases of all organs (spine, brain,
joints, abdominal cavity, heart) and all systems of human body, especially
blood circulatory system.
The use of a new tomography will decrease the waiting list of paitinets in need for diagnostic and improve the level of health care in Chernihiv.
