Halya Coynash: Putin’s Kerch Bridge to Crimea – no money, dodgy insurance & no accountability
Russian President Vladimir Putin (C), accompanied with Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak (L) and head of the Federal Road Agency Roman Starovoit, points at the map while inspecting the site of the under-construction bridge across the Kerch strait, which will link Russia and the Crimean peninsula, onboard a helicopter, on March 18, 2016.
Russia's state-controlled media has responded to June 8 reports of problems with financing the grandiose plans for a bridge between Russia and Crimea with a flurry of articles denying any problems or simply acting as if it was business as usual.
