The roots of the friendship between Ukraine and Lithuania go back centuries. It especially grew stronger in the last 70 years, as both nations stood side by side while pursuing freedom and fighting against the Soviet Empire. However, this friendship has not ceased since the Soviet Union’s collapse: rather, Lithuania remains one of Ukraine’s main friends and supporters.
