Sergey Sukhankin: Hydrogen production in Ukraine

Local gas distributor Regional Gas Company has been testing transportation of a mix of hydrogen and natural gas in closed areas of the gas distribution system in five Ukraine’s oblasts since February, but needs money to continue. Companies lack government support to start generating electricity from hydrogen.

On June 19, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, speaking at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, in Antalya, Turkey, underscored that the use of alternative energy sources will have strategic meaning for Ukraine, helping the country to effectively address both current and future energy security challenges.
