Today, everyone’s talking about revanchism/revenge. Some are shouting slogans hysterically, at the top of their voice; others are making loud public comments and speeches with undisguised sarcasm and glee. Messages are regularly posted about the triumphant return of some shadowy political figure who should have been jailed five years ago; our information space is constantly inundated with news about yet another betrayal. We could, perhaps, dismiss these manifestations if they were not based on real and concrete cases.
