The war will not end this year. It’s a simple fact, and yet incredibly difficult to understand and discuss. Skeptics were ready for this. I suppose that all the people, who had put their hopes in new circumstances, a new president, in his promises to end the war, have lost some of their initial optimism…. because there are simply no premises, no preconditions for ending the war in the near future.
