Even by the standards of Vladimir Putin's Russia, the show trial of Lt. Nadya Savchenko sets a high bar for cynicism. The 34-year-old Ukrainian helicopter pilot stands accused by a court in Russia's southern Rostov region of committing "war crimes" for allegedly directing mortar fire that killed two journalists.
