On June 28, Ukrainian troops abandoned their advanced positions near the urban-type settlement of Stanytsia Luhanska north of the occupied regional capital city of Luhansk and retreated closer to the town to create a disengagement area agreed back in 2016. The military formations of the Russian-backed separatists in Luhansk region have reportedly pulled out too. Can creating a new “gray zone” area endanger Stanytsia Luhanska?
