Ukrainian fashion show in Jordan

Ukrainian and Jordanian designers’ fashion show was held in Amman.

The visitors were able to see clothes by five designers, four from Ukraine and one from Jordan.

The show was organized within Ukrainian Fashion Week aimed at sharing fashion traditions between two countries.

Nick Vujicic comes back to Ukraine

Nick Vujicic, an Australian Christian evangelist and motivational speaker, millionaire, businessman and bestselling author, will visit Ukraine again.

His speech will be held at the Kyiv Palace of Sports on September,25.

The visit program includes press conference, meetings with businessmen, politicians and community leaders (50 people) at ‘Premier Palace’ hotel; speech at the Kyiv Palace of Sports, and meetings with the state top officials as well.

Ukrainian youth baseball team wins its first European Championship

Ukrainian youth baseball team won its first European Championship U-21 held in Israel. In the final match Ukrainian team got victory over Russian sportsmen with a score of 7:5.

Yevhen Zhanlatai and Dmytro Kiliyevych were granted individual prizes as the best batter and pitcher of the tournament. Vitalii Chuhrii, starting pitcher of the final game, was recognized as the championship MVP.

Ukraine International Airlines to launch flights between Lviv and Vilnius

September, 16 Ukraine International Airlines will launch regular flights between Lviv and Vilnius.

The new flights will be operated up to three times per week on modern Boeing 737 and Embraer 190 aircraft with two cabin classes: Business Class and Economy Class.

UIA offers round-trip Economy Class tickets for Lviv-Vilnius at the price from 1737 UAH and for Vilnius-Lviv from 80.87 EUR (all taxes and surcharges included).

New non-stop scheduled flights will be operated year-round

Ukraine to debut at Venice Film Festival

‘Luxembourg’ project by Myroslav Slaboshpytskyi will represent Ukraine at Venice Production Bridge of the 73rd International Venice Film Festival. Ukraine will participate in this project for the first time. The film will be presented in ‘Fiction’ section.

‘Luxembourg’ is a feature showing the current realities of people living in Chernobyl.

The film has already won several prestigious awards, for example, Global Filmmaking Award at the Sundance Film Festival 2015 (USA) and the Channel ARTE prize for the most promising project at CineMart Rotterdam Film Festival. The Czech Republic, Slovakia, the countries of the former Yugoslavia, Greece, Portugal and Benelux bought the project rental rights at the Cannes Film Festival in 2015 (the period when the film was not finished).

The project financial partners are CNC (France), Hubert Belsen Foundation of Rotterdam Film Festival (Netherlands), Surfond (Norway), Ukrainian State Film Agency.

Venice Production Bridge will take place at the Excelsior Hotel of the Lido di Venezia on September, 1-5.

Overall, Venice Production Bridge jury will select 40 audiovisual projects of different directions.
