Ukraine among 20 most ‘Feeling Welcome’ countries
Ukraine ranked 15th in ‘Feeling Welcome’ countries rating. Expat Insider 2016 International Survey was compiled by InterNations, one of the largest international associations for people living and working abroad.
The results were summarized after polling more than 14 000 people (representatives of 174 nationalities from 191 countries).
On the set of indices Ukraine took the 34th place.

31-meter ‘WinWay’ tram is running in Vinnytsia
September, 2 the second ‘WinWay’ tram produced by Vinnytsia local transport company started running the city.
The tram is 10 meters longer than the previous one (31 m), it has a low-floor section for the wheelchaired and women with baby strollers, external and internal video surveillance systems and sensor button for door opening. The cars can hold about 300 passengers.
‘WinWay’ tram is Czech car CT-4SU-based.
Serhiy Morhunov, the city mayor, said that the third ‘WinWay’ tram had been already assembled. It starts running the city this December.

Gloria FX Studio wins MTV Video Music Awards
Gloria FX Studio won MTV Video Music Awards in the category ‘Best Special Effects’ (‘Up&Up’ music video of ‘Coldplay’ British Band).
The video ‘Up & Up’ left behind such stars as Adele and The Weeknd.
In August 2015, Gloria FX received an MTV Award for ‘Best visual effects’ for a clip in Skrillex and Diplo’s ‘Where Are U Now’. Gloria FX is considered to be one of the strongest visual effects companies in the music video world due to its artistic and creative approach to its work and wise budgeting. The company consists of 60 artists specializing in different areas including 3D, animation, modeling and matte painting. Gloria FX’s studio portfolio is not limited to music videos. It has made more than 20 commercials and several films and trailers for American, Ukrainian and Russian filmmakers. The guys work with the most famous performers in the world. The next year Gloria FX will join the group of experts that secretly vote for Music Awards technical categories winners.

Finland education based school opens in Kyiv Oblast
A school of future opens in Kyiv Oblast (Putrivka village, Vasylkiv district). The new concept of training and education is grounded on 4 pillars: new creative space, new content, new technologies and new management.
The pilot project is based on the education in Finland where the school of future looks like interesting and modern art space. The school education will be more focused on studying necessary and interesting information potentially applied in everyday life. Due to new technology and techniques children will grasp new information faster and get more practical knowledge.
The school teaching staff has undergone trainings and workshops to improve their skills on case studies and information technology.

Ternopil artist to present his paintings at the EP
September, 26-30 the European Parliament will host an exhibition of Ivan Marchuk, one of the brightest representatives of Ukrainian art. The event is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence.
The exhibition presents 35 works covering four periods of twelve Ukrainian artist’s activity.
Ivan Marchuk has created about 5,000 paintings and held more than 100 personal exhibitions. He invented a new art style, in 2007 the artist was included in ‘Top 100 Living Geniuses’ ranking compiled by the Telegraph (72nd position). In 2006, the International Academy of Modern Art in Rome accepted Ivan Marchuk to the ‘Golden Guild’ and elected him as an honorary member of the Scientific Council of the Academy.
The exhibition is organized under the auspices of Ukrainian diplomatic mission in Brussels.
