Vyshyvanka collection show in New Jersey raises about $7,500
Dec. 6 embroidered clothes collection show by Oksana Polonets took place in New Jersey, USA. The event organizers raised over $7,500. All the funds will be donated to the organization ‘Ukrainian Philanthropic Network’ to purchase new beds for orphans with disabilities at Zaluchanskyi orphanage, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast.

EBU gives green light to Kyiv as Eurovision host city
The delegation of Ukraine successfully reported on Kyiv’s preparation for Eurovision Song Contest 2017. The EBU General Assembly had a meeting in Lausanne on Dec. 8.
In particular, Ukrainian representatives informed about the following:
– the contest budget is Hr 655,7 million;
– Legal and regulatory framework for organizing and conducting the contest in Ukraine is ready;

The first Holodomor victims monument to unveil in Italy
Dec. 17 the first Holodomor victims monument will be unveiled in Italy. The solemn ceremony will take place in the central park of Cagliari, Monte Carlo.
The monument was made by Italian sculptor ARMANDI under support of Association ‘ARCOIRIS Onlus’, Association ‘OSI’, the Embassy of Ukraine in Italy, the World Congress of Ukrainians and Religious Association for Ukrainian Catholics ‘Saint Sophia’.
“Opening the first Holodomor monument in Italy is a milestone because now more Italians and tourists will be able to know our history and pay tribute to the innocent victims of this terrible crime. The monument will be installed in the central park of Cagliari, a crowded place”, Volodymyr Stepaniuk, representative of Cagliari Ukrainian community and president of Association ‘OSI’, mentioned.

Charity Christmas party in London
Dec. 17 Public Movement ‘London Euromaidan’ will organize charity party to raise funds for Ukrainian soldiers and Donbas-war victims. The party program includes delicious food and drinks, live music and a charity fun.
The venue is Ukrainian club (154 Holland Park Avenue, W11 4). Start – 6 p.m. Entrance fee is £40.

ProZorro system gets Open Government Awards
Ukrainian public e-procurement system ProZorro took first prize at the third annual Open Government Awards 2016. The winners were announced at the OGP Global Summit in Paris.
