3D gingerbread installation ‘Tales of Saint Nicholas’ breaks Ukraine’s record

A record 3D gingerbread installation weighing more than 1000 kg was made in the city of Yuzhne, Odesa Oblast. ‘Tales of St.Nicholas’ composition covers an area of 3,02×4,03 meters, its highest point is 96 cm.

It took the confectioners two weeks to make the gingerbread town. They created a big city presenting houses painted in traditional Ukrainian style, white and green trees, the castle of the Snow Queen, etc.

The idea of creating a masterpiece belongs to Bublikoff confectionery.

Ecoisme to make Dubai more energy-efficient

From September to December 2016 Ecoisme Ukrainian startup underwent Dubai Future Accellerator program. Out of 2,400 candidates 30 accelerators were selected. The startups represented seven directions such as education, medicine, police, municipalities, businesses, infrastructure and energy.

Ecoisme signed an agreement with the Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA), energy direction.

Ecoisme will start working in 2017. As Ivan Pasichnyk, Ecoisme CEO startup, the team has started negotiations with the local energy efficient companies, on Jan. 5 collection of orders for sensors will launch.

Italy’s first monument to Holodomor victims unveils on Sardinia

Italy’s first monument to Holodomor victims was unveiled on Sardinia on Dec. 17.

The ceremony took place in the presence of the Ambassador of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Perelyhin.

‘Kyiv Days in Tel Aviv’ took place on Dec. 15-16

The old train station Jaffa, Tel Aviv Municipality and ‘Dan Panorama Hotel Tel-Aviv’ hotel welcomed guests of ‘Kyiv Days in Tel Aviv’ event held on Dec. 15-16.

A two-day event program included: a meeting between representatives of Kyiv and Tel Aviv official delegations, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Israel Hennadii Nadolenko; presentation of Kyiv on ‘Smart City’ and ‘Tourism’, art fair of Ukrainian artists and craftsmen (Petrykivka painting, toys, gifts, jewelry, paintings, mosaics, embroidery), national cuisine presentation, workshop involving Ukrainian and Israeli tour operators (representatives of about 30 companies attended the seminar), concert with Go-A folk band performance; tourist booth ‘Kyiv is the city where everything starts’, and the photo exhibition ‘Kyiv is an ancient and new capital of Ukraine’.
