Facebook launched poll ‘My favorite place in Ukraine’ timed to the Tourism Day
celebrated in Ukraine on September,27. Participants are invited to send 1-2 photos of their favorite place to
rest or visit in Ukraine, add a brief to them and post on the event FB-page (https://www.facebook.com/events/700928289984790).
Photos and
descriptions can be sent by September,20. The poll will be resulted in TOP-23 places that Ukrainians
and guests love the most.

Euromaidan may be Sakharov Prize nominee
Vice-head of
European Parliament National Parties Group Jacek Saryusz-Wolski proposed to
nominate Euromaidan to Sakharov Prize ‘For Freedom of Thought’, ‘Euromaidan has
become the real voice of Europe for values, freedom and human rights. This
event deserves to be highly recognized by European Parliament’.
To his mind The
Revolution of Dignity must be represented by journalist Mustafa Nayem, singer
Ruslana, president of Ukrainian Association of student Council Yelizaveta
Shchepetilnikova and Home Secretary counselor Tatiana Chornovil.

Lviv becomes available in TripMe Lviv mobile app
TripMy startup
team (six young people who are creating travel guides in mobile application
format) presented the first work, Lviv TripMe Lviv. The uniqueness of the guide
is that it offers thematic routes of the city; the routes are accompanied by
short stories on the city lifestyle at different times. At present time the app
is available on iOS, Android version is coming soon.
‘Now we can
offer such thematic routes as Lviv cemetery, Criminal Lviv, Churches in Lviv
and Book Forum. Multi-level routes Liberation movement in Lviv and Hunting for
lions are being developed’, CEO Trip My Anton Pivnyuk comments.
After launching
travel mobile guides in the most attractive cities of Ukraine, young men will
develop mobile applications for European countries where similar apps are
absent for now.

Three-meter metal trident was installed in the center
Ladyzhyn city
Locals of
Ladyzhyn city (Vinnytsia Oblast) presented the biggest Ukraine’s trident made
of metal. Its height is three meters. It took blacksmiths nearly three weeks
to make the trident. The trident was made on the occasion of the 200th
anniversary of the birth of Taras Shevchenko, bust to the poet can be seen near
the trident as well.
Harmonious
ensemble presented by trident and bust is a joint initiative of local activists
and artists and the winner of this year’s stage of ‘City with our own hands’
contest.

Pyrohiv scansen to host Ukrainian-Georgian festival
‘Friends. Ukraine + Georgia’

2014 the outdoor Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine Pyrohiv, the
biggest scansen in Europe, will host Ukrainian-Georgian festival ‘Friends.
Ukraine + Georgia’, the celebration of kindness, beauty and friendship. All
money raised at festival will go to the soldiers injured in ATO and to the kids
from ATO region. The festival program includes: Ukrainian and Georgian ethnic
bands performances; lectures on history and modern life of two countries,
traveling around Georgia and Ukraine; Georgian language classes; photo and
paintings exhibition, photo shoots in national Georgian and Ukrainian costumes;
food and Georgian wine degustation from
the best national cuisine restaurants, workshops.
