The beauty and majesty of Ukrainian women shown in a photo project

Last year Kateryna Potlova, jewelry and accessories designer, decorator, stylist and image-maker, initiated a unique large-scale photo project where stars of Ukrainian show business, culture, arts and sports, Ukrainian women to be proud of, took part.

The project is aimed at glorifying contemporary Ukrainian women, guardians of tradition keeping the memory and wisdom of generations, and radiating sincerity, femininity, tenderness and strength, unbreakable will and inner freedom at the same.

Since last March over 60 unique and breathtaking images have been created, more than 150 exclusive photos have been captured. Every photo exalts the beauty and harmony of femininity, spirituality, purity, infinite and incomprehensible wisdom of Ukrainian women.

A Lviv native becomes chief conductor of the Austrian Graz Opera

In 2017-2018 season Oksana Lyniv will conduct the Opera and the Philharmonic orchestra of Graz. About it reports a press-service of the Austrian Opera. However, Lyniv’s contract will actually last until 2019-2020 season.

39-year-old Oksana Lyniv began her career in the Lviv musical Academy of Ukraine. In 2004 she won the 3rd place at the International conductor competition named after Gustav Mahler in Bamberg. Oksana Lyniv is considered to be one of the best conductors of the younger generation.

She was awarded the title of ‘Star of the year 2015’ in the category ‘Classics’ and the prize of the Munich Opera festival. The fourth season in a row, Oksana Lyniv is working as a conductor and musical assistant to the General music Director of the Bavarian state Opera Kirill Petrenko in Munich.
She has conducted the Bavarian Chamber Orchestra, philharmonic orchestras of Berg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Bremen, Nuremberg; Opera Orchestra of Bonn and Osnabrück (Germany); the Solomiya Krushelnytska Lviv State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet, Estonian National Opera, symphony orchestras of Romania and Japan.

Ukraine is the best biggest walnut exporter in Europe

Ukraine takes the first place on walnut export in Europe. In addition, the country is in the top 5 walnut producers in the world.

As Olha Trofimtseva, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on European Integration, says nut grow is among priorities for the Ministry, ‘The development of nut industrial production and export requires establishment of cooperatives or clusters. Today, we have no effective nut production structure. The current situation prevents from accessing to foreign markets and organizing the production in Ukraine’.

In 2016 Iraq, Iran, Greece, Azerbaijan and Belarus were the main importers of Ukrainian walnut.

Today more than 5,000 hectares of walnut and 600 hectares of hazelnut have been planted in Ukraine.

Kyiv Design Studio wins the international competition

At the prestigious international competition Iida Global Excellence Awards 2016 and Soesthetic Group & Maket Hub and Zeo Alliance Office projects, developed by Kyiv design studio Soesthetic Group, won in two categories, ‘Corporate Space Small’ and ‘Corporate Space Large’.

Maket Hub is transformed according to the request of the audience.

Zeo Alliance is an office of one of the largest IT-companies in Ukraine.

How a cup of coffee can contribute to Ukraine’s cultural heritage restoration

‘Make a gift to Ukraine’ is the national crowdfunding campaign to support the restoration of cultural heritage sites in Ukraine.

The main objective of the project is to draw attention to the issue of restoration of castles, palaces, churches across the country to disclose their tourist potential and save pages of Ukrainians.

The next stage of the initiative will be creation of big online portal which will bring together information on all possible monuments of historical and architectural heritage of Ukraine that need restoration or recovery for crowdfunding and monitoring of restoration works.
