Lviv Oblast
presents a new tourist brand
It took 3 months and Hr 20,000 to create a new tourist
logo for Lviv Oblast. From now on, the region will be presented in the form of
letter ‘Л’ combining such sub-elements as mountains, mineral waters, active
tourism, Lviv City Hall building, trolley car, cup of coffee, ski resorts,
temples and festive traditions. The motto of
a new brand is ‘Amazing Discoveries.’
Designers made both universal and a winter tourism logo.
The latter will be presented later.
Worldwide action ‘Pray for Ukraine’ commemorated
the Revolution of Dignity anniversary
November, 30 the worldwide ‘Pray for Ukraine’ action,
dedicated to the anniversary of the Revolution of Dignity, is held.
At 3 p.m (Kyiv time) participants are going to sing the
national anthem of Ukraine, and give a minute of silence to honor the memory of
Heaven Hundred and all the heroes fell during the revolutionary events in
Ukraine.
Natives of Greece, France, Italy, Turkey, Denmark,
Germany, Slovenia, Poland, Spain and England have already joined the action.

Grinchenko Kyiv University set up a record in writing Ukrainian dictation
November, 7 689 future philologists and teachers of Borys
Grinchenko Kyiv University took part in writing radio dictation action
dedicated to the Day of Ukrainian language.
This year’s dictation theme was ‘Ukrainian Radio
celebrates 90 years’.
After setting up the record all the participants
performed the national anthem of Ukraine.
Kyiv subway to launch free
Wi-Fi in 2015
The works on WI-FI installation in Kyiv subway will be
started in 2015.
According to Kyiv subway administration the first free
Wi-Fi zones will cover Khreschatyk, Ploscha Lva Tolstoho and Teatralna
stations. The rest of the stations will be Wi-Fi connected within the next two
years.
The tender for Wi-Fi installation in Kyiv subway was won
by Fidomobile company, the first
Ukrainian virtual mobile operator founded in 2013.
Euromaidan documentary
‘All Things Ablaze’ wins a money award in
Leipzig
The documentary ‘All Things Ablaze’ won the Best Eastern
European Documentary Film Award at International Festival for Documentary and
Animated Film DOK Leipzig.
€3000 money award was handed to three Ukrainian
cameramen, Oleksandr Techynskyi, Oleksiy Solodunov and Dmytro Stoykov.
According to the official FB-page during all the revolution the men were
filming people standing on both sides of the conflict.
46 documentaries and 34 animated films competed for DOK
Leipzig awards. Totally 368 movies from 62 countries were shown at the festival.
