‘The Great Gatsby Ballet’ is returning to Kyiv

After a successful European tour ‘The Great Gatsby Ballet’ will be shown in Kyiv. The show is planned for March,31. The venue is National Palace of Arts ‘Ukraina’.

The Great Gatsby Ballet is a show combining several arts such as classical ballet, modern dance and cinema.

The performance based on the novel by American writer Francis Fitzgerald has caused a furore in Berlin, Frankfurt, Vienna, Geneva and other cities. While touring 16,000 viewers saw the ballet, more than 700 journalists from the world media attended the show, and 50 world’s promoters sent offers on cooperation.

‘The Great Gatsby Ballet’ troupe consists of the world’s ballet stars because the show soloists dance on the main theater stages, including the Mariinsky Theatre.

Condor Airlines to launch flights from USA to Kyiv

March 20 the German airline ‘Condor Airlines’ (Condor Flugdienst) will launch flights to Kyiv from 10 US cities.

In particular, the capital of Ukraine can be reached from Anchorage (Alaska), Billings (Montana), Boise (Idaho), Bozeman (Montana), Wenatchee (WA), Eugene (Oregon), Fairbanks (Alaska), Fresno (CA), Spokane (Washington) and Juneau (Alaska).

The tickets are available for booking on the company website.

Condor Airlines is based in Frankfurt, the secondary base is Munich.

‘Kyiv-Moscow’ documentary awarded at ‘Czech Lion’ festival

24-minute film ‘Kyiv-Moscow’ by Anna Lyubynetska won the prestigious Magnesia Film Prize at the festival ‘Czech Lion’. The film was recognized as ‘The Best Studen Documentary’. The prize is awarded by the Czech Film and Television Academy and the Czech Film Center.

The film tells a story of Renata, young woman living in Kyiv, in the context of the current war in Ukraine, and explores the tensions caused by war and its effect on Ukrainian citizens’ everyday life.

Five student films participated in this’s contest.

March 26 an art-center ‘Stalkanat Art’ in Odesa invites to chocolate holiday.

The National Opera of Ukraine invites to ‘Unforgettable Kvitka’ concert

April 4 the National Opera of Ukraine will host a concert to mark the 10th anniversary of Ukraine-American charity project ‘Unforgettable Kvitka’ dedicated to Kvitka Cisyk, Ukraine-originated American singer.

Both Ukrainian and American singers will participate in the concert.

An important part of the concert will be use the original voice tracks by Kvitka Cisyk and unique video archive.

At the concert on April 4 (birthday of Kvitka Cisyk) the project’s main mission will be performed, granting Hr 100,000 to purchase mobile mammography ‘Kvitka’ to prevent and treat breast cancer among women in Kyiv.
