Ancient Volyn authentical costumes are shown in Rivne

Under Fashion Time in Rivne ‘Starovolynski vechornytsi’ show was held. The Center for research and revival of Volyn demonstrated collection of Ukrainian authentic costumes of late XIX – early XX century for the first time.

25 reconstructed ancient costumes were shown. It took 7 years to prepare the collection: search of costume element in different parts of the historical region of Volyn, in dozens of museums, private collectors and individuals.

Three Ukrainian boxers to fight at MGM National Harbor Arena

April 8, Oxon Hill (Washington suburb) will host three boxing matches with Ukrainian boxers’ participation.

At MGM National Harbor arena Vasyl Lomachenko will fight against Jason Sosa, Oleksandr Usyk will face Michael Hunter and Oleksandr Gvozdyk will defend the title in a match against Yunieski Gonzalez.

Ukraine has tripled cranberry and blueberry export

In 2016 Ukraine has more than tripled export of cranberries, blueberries and other berries in comparison with 2015. Overall, the volume reached 2.9 thousand tons.

As the Ministry of Agriculture of Ukraine informs the largest importers of Ukrainian berries are Poland, the Netherlands and Belarus.

In addition, export of raspberries, blackberries and mulberries increased more than twice, strawberries and wild strawberries – more than 1,7 times, for the first time since 2013 Ukraine has managed to export 79 tonnes of currants.

Ukraine participates at Guadalajara gastronomic festival ‘Feria’

Guadalajara, Mexico, hosted the second annual world’s gastronomic festival ‘Feria’. The event was also participated by Ukraine: traditional meals tasting in Ukrainian kolyba (a small shepherd’s cottage high in the Carpathians); historical and cultural zone, photo shoot against the cart decorated with Ukrainian towels, flowers and jugs.

The event was accompanied by the songs of ‘Okean Elzy’ band, dance and show of national costumes.

‘For the second time we have got a very positive feedback on our stand and the event. Both guests and participants have called it the best this year’, Olena Klopota, the Ukrainian community in Guadalajara coordinator, says.

414 geographical objects for 2 hours – a small Kyiv girl sets a new record

Zlata Poplavska from Kyiv, 3,5 years old, has already set two records. The second one the girl has recently set after showing 414 geographical objects on the map for 2 hours unmistakable.

The girl’s achievement was registered by the National Register of Records Ukraine experts.

Last year Zlata set the first record after learning names of 273 countries by heart.
