In particular, it is highly recommended to visit: Lviv (Old Town, pubs, UNESCO-protected sights, themed restaurants); Chernivtsi (UNESCO-protected university, the Museum of Art, local architecture); Kyiv (two UNESCO World Heritage sites, Kyiv Pechersk Lavra and St.Sophia’s Cathedral, Andrew’s Descent, Kyiv fast food ‘perepichka’, the Museum of Folk Architecture and Ethnography in Pyrohiv).

Ukraine and Turkey to produce unmanned aircrafts

The State Enterprise ‘Antonov’ and Turkish Aerospace Industries company will produce unmanned aircrafts. The Memorandum on Cooperation was signed during the 13th International Defense Exhibition IDEF-2017 held in Istanbul. Under the agreement two sides will develop and produce different modifications of unmanned aircrafts, including attack ones, for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Good choice: Chuck Norris to visit Ukraine

Chuck Norris, actor, film producer and screenwriter, is going to attend the International Missionary Conference to be held at the stadium ‘Avangard’ in Rivne on June 24-25. Representatives of many countries have invited the actor to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, however, Texas Ranger chose Ukraine. It is expected that the conference will be attended by 300 foreign delegates from different countries of the world.

Film about conflict between Ukraine and Russia wins in Austria

The documentary “Rodnye” (Close Relations) directed by Vitaly Mansky got the main prize of the 13th Crossing Europe Film Festival Linz held in Austria. The film tells the story of Vitaly Mansky and his family living in different parts of Ukraine, Lviv, Odesa, Donbas and Crimea. Another storyline of the film highlights the deep roots of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. This is not the first award the film has got, in 2016 it was “Best Documentary” at Karlovy Vary IFF 2016.
