Downhill mountain biking race is moving from Crimea to Bukovel

August 22-24, 2015,
for the first time Bukovel to host downhill mountain biking race Bukovel
Horizon Cup DHI 2015.

The competition used
to take place in Yalta, for 2015 the race was scheduled in Yalta and registered
by Crimean organizers as Russian event despite Ukrainian license.

The Federation of
Ukrainian Cyclists appealed to the Union Cyclists International (UCI) requiring
sorting the situation out.

The UCI considered
the claim and designated Bukovel as the venue for Bukovel Horizon Cup DHI 2015,
August 22-24, 2015.

Vitaliy Smihur is a winner of Interstudent Polish contest

Vitaliy Smihur,
Economics Faculty of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, became a winner at
Bachelor Studies Category of Interstudent, Contest for the Best International
Student in Poland. The award ceremony took place at the conference
‘International Students in Poland-2015’ (January 22-23, 2015) as a part of
charity program ‘Study in Poland’.

Among other winners
are also students from India, USA, and Haiti. Totally 22 students from
different countries became contest finalists. Daryna Brazhnyk, Olena Kulikovets
and Natalia Tomchevska-Popovych from Ukraine were also nominated for the
contest.

The competition
organizers are the Conference of Rectors of Academic Polish Schools (KRASP) and
Perspektywy Educational Foundation.

Interstudent contest
was initiated for international students studying at Polish higher education
institutions on the Bachelor, Master and Doctoral level. Candidates should
prove that they are active in such fields as culture, social life, ecology or
sports; successful in studying, and participate in interesting research
projects as well.

Tunisia to become visa-free for Ukrainians

In 2015 Tunisia may
cancel visas for Ukrainian tourists. Currently visa fee is not charged just if
a tourist stays less than 30 days and has a voucher of the travel company
registered in the country, and entry and departure are performed through
Tunisia international airports. The immigration stamp is put at the airport for
free. In case of business trip or private visit $7 consular fee is required.

Tunisia will become
another country to launch visa-free movement regime with Ukraine.

At the moment
Ukrainians can stay without visa for 90 days in Montenegro, Macedonia, Israel,
Belarus, Moldova, Andorra, Russia, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Azerbaijan,
Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and some other countries. Turkey doesn’t
require visa for Ukrainian citizen for 60 days stay. Serbia, Bosnia,
Herzegovina, Albania, Malaysia, Cuba, and Seychelles Islands provide 30 visa
free days for the holders of Ukrainian passport. India requires electronic
permit for 30 days stay.

Razumkov Centre is ranked among TOP-5 think tanks of the Central and
Eastern Europe

Razumkov Centre is
included into TOP-5 of 2014 Global Go To Think Tank Index in category ‘The Best
Think Tank of the Central and Eastern Europe’.

55 think tanks of the
region were evaluated in the category. The first three places were taken by
Russian (Carnegie Center, Moscow office) and Polish (Center of Social and
Economic Researches and the Polish Institute of International Affairs) think
tanks.

Kyiv National
Economic University named after Vadym Hetman was ranked 52 and International
Center for Policy studies is listed 40.

Canada opens a $54 million credit line for Ukraine

Ministry of Economy
of Canada opened a $54 million credit line for Ukraine.

The money mainly will
be spent to support diary industry development and grain terminals
constructions.

‘Considering that in
current marketing year Ukraine harvested a record quantity of grains, this
support will be very appropriate’, Ed Fast, the Ministry of Economy of Canada,
says.
