Odesa pupils win a grant to help the disabled
Odesa
pupils of the 8th and 9th grades won UAH 7,000
grant to start a pilot project to help people with special needs, mainly,
physically impaired people and people with serious innate diseases.
‘We
have very ambitious targets. We are shooting cartoon, animation development
movies for visually impaired kids, and record fairy tales audiobooks in
different languages, mainly in Polish; and develop computer games to teach ICP
kids thinking as well’, Boris Chubin, 16, the group coordinator, said.

‘Ternopil‘ Chaplin is a Filmchildren prize-winner
Pavuk
family from Shybalyn village (Ternopil Oblast) awarded the main prize of short
movies contest Filmchildren, initiated by British Council in Ukraine, UNICEF
and Kronverk Cinema Ukraine as a part of New British Cinema 2014.
Ternopil
family produced a black and white short movie in Charlie Chaplin style films.
Among
the main contest requirements was to reproduce any world famous movie scene
involving a child as an actor.

Kyiv to get together Ukrainian organic producers
February
27, the First National Forum ‘Organic Ukraine 2015: strategic planning organic
market development in Ukraine’ and organic goods and services trade show will
take place in Ukrainskiy.
The
Forum will focus on the following issues:

‘Market development: status quo, success factors and challenges. Planning next
season. The experience of cooperation between manufacturers. Search for
business partnership’;
–
‘Manufacturers and processors of organic products: strategic planning –
identifying demand and supply development’;
–
‘Commercialization. Sales Strategy. Marketing. Organic Regional Centers as the
basis of domestic organic market’;
–
‘Consumers and distribution channels. Consumers and sellers opinion: expectations
about the organic products and current obstacles’.
The
event is organized by Organic Ukraine, Public Union of the certified organic
products manufacturers.
The
forum works from 9:00 till 19:00.

Youth from 6 countries to photograph
peace and cultural dialogue
From
February until October 2015 youth from Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia,
Armenia and Russia will take part in international social project ‘Eyes of
Culture’. The project aim is to establish sustainable dialogue between youth
and promote peace in Caucasian region through photo art.
The
project inspirer is social activist from Turkey Zek Dundar.
The
project to be held in three stages:
–
participants selection, who will travel around Ukraine, Georgia and Turkey
looking for original photos featuring peace and cultural dialogue between
neighboring countries;
–
tutorial workshop for all participants in Kobuleti (Georgia) and preparation
for photo exhibition (June 4-18, 2015);
–
photo exhibition in Kyiv and Istanbul.
The
best photos will be published in photobook and on postcards.

Denis Molchanov bests at Tennis
Challenger in the USA
Ukrainian
tennis player Denis Molchanov won at
Tennis Challenger in Dalllas, USA. The tournament prize fund is $100,000.
The
sportsman played doubles with Russian colleague Adrey Rubliov and left behind
Mexican double.
For
Denys it is the first trophy of the season.

Denis has 10 victories at ATP Challenger Tour.
