6-year Sofia from Vinnytsia promote bandura art
Sofia Al-Khadi (Vasyuk) from Vinnytsia is in TOP-10 ‘Wonder Kids’ of Ukraine according to All-Ukrainian Award ‘Wonder Kid’.
Sofia plays the bandura since 3 y.o. and always participates in Ukrainian and international festivals, competitions, conferences and workshops; promotes bandura on TV and radio as well.
In 2013 she was Ukraine’s delegate and honorary guest of bandura and kobza players gala concert at World Bandura Players Congress.
This year the girl won regional competition ‘Person of the Year’, ‘Young Artist’ nomination.

New AN-178 aircraft shown in Kyiv
Solemn ceremony of AN−178 new aircraft presentation took place at ANTONOV Company, Kyiv.
The aircraft can be used both for military and commercial aviation.
More than 30 Ukrainian companies were involved in AN-178 production. The plane can carry cargoes under 18 tons and speed up to 800km/h. The new aircraft is said to be tested on May 7, 2015.

Kharkiv students triumph at International Physics Tournament 2015 in Warsaw
Students of Physics and Technical Faculty at Karazin Kharkiv National University topped at International Students Tournament of Physics held at Warsaw University on April, 7-10. The result of Ukrainian team is 49.1 points.
Ukrainian team included:Vitaliy Lisovskiy (captain, department of nuclear and medical physics) and Anastasia Vasylchenko (department of theoretical nuclear physics and higher mathematics), five year students; Roman Vidro, Platon Dmitriev and Boris Petrov, second year students; Kyrylo Herashchenko, first year student.
The second and third places were taken by Denmark and Finland.
In total 11 teams from different countries participated in the tournament.

German government to give €14 million for 10 Ukrainian reserves
German government will give €14 million grant to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine to protect Ukrainian reserves. The project will last for 5 years.
The funds will be spent on protecting at least 10 Ukrainian reserves.
Gorgany and Carpathian Biosphere Reserve are the first in line to receive the grant.
Kryvyi Rih-born girl presents flower perfume Flor
Alina Baikova (born in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk) presented new flower perfume Flor created to commemorate designer Oscar de la Renta died in the end of 2014. The designer was in love with gardens of full freshness and flower scent.
As a model Alina debuted at New York Fashion Week in 2010. Her successful debut was followed by a range of other fashion shows, Badgley Mischka, Carolina Herrera, Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Elise Overland, Francesco Scognamiglio, Giambattista Valli, Gianfranco Ferre і Hermes.
In 2011 Alina’s photo covered Australian Vogue magazine.
Alina has contracts with such model agencies as Premier Model Management, Fashion Model Management (Italy), Management (France).
