6 million users downloaded InkHunter tattoo application
24-year-old Oleksandra Rohachova from Kolomyia is CEO and Co-Founder of an American startup with 6 million users. Since 2016 the girl has been living in New York.
Being a child Oleksandra was fond of mathematics and puzzles, took part in school competitions, and was interested in Computer Science in high school.
Having received the certificate, the girl had a choice between mechanics and mathematics and the faculty of computer sciences. She chose the second one.
In 2014 Oleksandra along with her friends from the Karazin University in Kharkiv won the Khakaton on the theme of augmented reality technologies, they had developed a prototype of the application showing a user what his tattoo would look like on the body.

12-year-old Anastasia Bahinska will present Ukraine at Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017 to be held in Tbilisi on Nov. 26. The girl will perform the song ‘Do not stop’.

Victoria’s Secret show to see the first ‘angel’ from Ukraine
Darya Khlystun became the first Ukrainian girl to participate in a major Victoria’s Secret 2017 show.
The name of Darya Khlystun is listed in the show main part.
Khlystun’s career began three years ago, however, she has already managed to model at Valentino, Givenchy and Sonia Rykiel shows.
Victoria’s Secret girls are also called ‘angels’; the show itself is considered to be one of the most anticipated in the fashion world.

GogolFest-2017 to welcome 900 participants from 12 countries
Sept. 7-17, Kyiv is hosting the 10th Gogolfest Contemporary Art Festival, the event that brings together music, dance, theater, opera, circus, installation, graphics, design, cinema and visual visuals. This year’s event will be attended by about 900 participants from 12 countries.
This year the festival will take place in three locations: National complex ‘Expocenter of Ukraine’, Dovzhenko Center and the new Theater in Podil.
Gogolfest 2017 theme is ‘The Ark’, a place to rest from the world’s harsh realities and find a shelter for freedom and creativity. The theme will be embodied in the joint Ukrainian-Swiss opera-ballet ‘Ark’ based on ‘Solomon’s Song of Songs (the Old Testament) and GogolFest ArkSquat, a 4-story building on the territory of Dovzhenko Center that will serve as a creative space during the festival.

Ukrainian sportsmen win 36 medals in Taipei
At the 29th World Summer Universiade in Chinese Taipei (Taiwan) Ukrainian athletes won 36 medals: 12 gold, 11 silver and 13 bronze.
Ukraine ranked 6th among the 140 countries in the team standings.
Ukrainians’ result is 5 medals better than two years ago where in Gwangju (Republic of Korea) the sportsmen won 31 medals and ranked 8th among 146 countries.
