Sergei Polunin wins Men of the Year Awards
The ballet dancer Sergei Polunin became of the GQ Men of the Year Awards 2017 winners. The award ceremony took place at Tate Modern Art Gallery in London. The dancer was awarded Creative Maverick of the Year.
“Sergei Polunin is one of the most talented ballet dancers of his generation, the youngest principal dancer of the Royal Ballet in its history. The video “Take Me To The Church” has been viewed more than 20 million times. In addition, he is making a film career. Soon we will see him star in “Murder on the Oriental Express”,” the magazine writes.

Two Ukrainian girls to participate in ‘Miss Wheelchair World
Oksana Kononets and Uliana Pcholkina will take part in International contets “Miss Wheelchair World 2017” to be held in Warsaw from Sept. 28 to Oct. 10.
The contest is mainly aimed at promoting the social integration of people with disabilities and demonstrating that there are no restrictions for the people with disabilities.
The event will be attended by 25 girls from different parts of the world.

The Ambassador of Ukraine to the Netherlands gives derun master class
The Ukrainian Derun Festival was held in The Hague. The culmination of the event was a derun master class from the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Netherlands.
As FB-page of the organization ‘Ukrainians in the Netherlands’ informs the guests of the festival were able to taste meat products, sweets and drinks from Ukrainian producers.
In addition everyone could also join the pottery and pottery item painting master classes, as well as visit the fair of handmade goods, embroidered clothes and accessories in the Ukrainian style.

9th Kyiv Food and Wine Festival: more oysters and wine
The record number of Made in Ukraine oysters, Kyiv Wine Run, wine making by the traditional Italian way – Sept. 30 – Oct. 1 the 9th Kyiv Food and Wine Festival will take place on the territory of the National Complex ‘Expocenter of Ukraine’. The festival will start with the Wine Week. Wine bars in Kyiv, Odesa and Lviv are preparing special wine offers for the guests.
Kyiv Food and Wine Festival program also includes cheese fair, wine lectures delivered by the best Ukrainian sommeliers, wine makers, wine experts and restaurateurs, and selection of the best sparkling wine made in Ukraine.
