Ukrainians in USA to publish a magazine to form Ukraine’s positive image in the world

Oct. 4, the English-language magazine ‘The Ukrainian: Life And Culture’ to form Ukraine’s positive image worldwide will be presented in Kyiv.

The magazine is published by the American nonprofit organization ‘Ukrainian Cultural Initiatives’ (Arlington, VA).

Ukrainians in the USA, artist-designer Oleksii Chekal, journalists, art experts and literary critics from Ukraine are engaged in the project.

Angelina Jolie presents a cartoon scripted by a Ukrainian

‘The Breadwinner’ cartoon was premiered at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The presentation was attended by a 42-year-old actress Angelina Jolie, the cartoon producer.

It should be noted that the cartoon was scripted by Anita Doron born in the city of Berehove, Zakarpattia Oblast.

The film tells a story of Parvana, a girl in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, who must dress as a boy to support her mother and sister after her dad is unjustly arrested.

Reshetyliv embroidery exposition opens in Kyiv

Sept. 29 – Oct. 29 Ivan Honchar Museum in Kyiv is hosting an exhibition of Reshetyliv embroidery by Nina Ipatii.

The exposition is devoted to the 60th anniversary of the birthday of the handy woman.

Nina Ipatii is an Honored Master of Folk Art, member of the National Union of Masters of Folk Art of Ukraine, master artist of hand embroidery. Her works can be found in museums and private collections of presidents, ambassadors, politicians, clergy representatives and artists. Nina’s works are recognized far beyond the borders of Ukraine: England, Bulgaria, Canada, Germany, Poland.

Embroidery ‘white on white’ was born in Poltava Oblast and combines 5-7 techniques. It is a landmark of the region.

‘Fair of Ukraine’s tourist destinations’ to take place in the capital

Oct. 4-6, Kyiv (the International Exhibition Center) will host the main event of the autumn-winter tourism season, UITM’2017.

The international tourism exhibition has become the most representative event of the season for professionals in the tourist industry of Ukraine and abroad. Every yearUITM brings together companies and national tourist offices that present a variety of tourist destinations. For 24 years the UITM has deservedly recognized by the international tourist community.

The event is participated by Azerbaijan, Brazil, Georgia, India, Italy, China, Lithuania, Peru, Maldives, Mexico, Slovakia, USA, Ukraine, France, Czech Republic, Ecuador and other countries.

Kyiv Botanical Garden hosts the 3rd Great Georgian Holiday

Sept. 30 – Oct. 1 Mykola Hryshko National Botanical Garden hosted the third Great Georgian holiday with ‘Borjomi’. The event was timed to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Georgia, as well as the release of the legendary water ‘Borjomi’ in a new modern format, an aluminum can.

The purpose of this year’s event was to show modern Georgia, the country that is developing dynamically.
