Documentary film about events in Donbas wins in Amsterdam (video)
The film ‘The Distant Barking of Dogs’ tells about a 10-year-old boy living with his grandmother in the village of Hnutove, Donetsk Oblast. Having no place to rescue they had to watch other people leaving the village.
The film was premiered at Amsterdam International Film Festival on Nov. 19. The release in Ukraine is scheduled in 2018.

Made in Ukraine coffee-table wins the German Design Award 2018
Bruno coffee-table designed by Pavlo Vetrov got the prestigious German Design Award 2018 in the category ‘Excellent design of the product – furniture’.
The table is constructively simple and sustained in the spirit of minimalism. It has a metal frame and is finished with oak veneer. It is ideal to use in Scandinavian style interiors, the style of minimalism and eclecticism.

Bioengineering continues regenerating bones and tissue loss of the wounded
‘Bioengineering Rehabilitation for Wounded’ project helped Oleksandr, a volunteer who participated in Donbas war, to save his leg and give a chance to keep an active lifestyle and go in for sports.
Lately he has got the plate from the restored bone removed (he was wearing the plate for one and a half year while his bone was gaining solidness). He will have to use crutches for some period of time to allow his bone to adjust to workload and add some strength. Still in general, this makes the grand finale of his recuperation.

Record number of syrnyks cooked in Volyn Oblast
In the village of Syrnyky, Volyn Oblast, Ukraine’s record in the category ‘Culinary’ was made. The local community representatives managed to cook 3,917 syrnyks (cottage cheese pancakes).
All the cheese pancakes were handed over to orphanages, hospitals for Donbas war participants and homes for the elderly.

Ukrainian sportsman wins world jujitsu champion
Ivan Nastenko won the world jujitsu champion held in Bogota, Colombia.
The Ukrainian sportsman was undefeated in the weight category under 94 kg.
Thus, Ivan has become the owner of all titles (earlier he won the World Games and European Championship).
