‘Eyes of Cultures’ photo exposition to travel Ukraine and Turkey
‘Eyes of Culture’ photo exhibition is opened in Cherkasy Art Museum on July, 15.
‘Eyes of Culture’ is an international project where young photographers from Ukraine, Georgia and Russia went around Ukraine looking for unusual photos. Similar groups used to work in Georgia and Turkey.
The main project idea is to create firm peaceful dialogue between the countries-participants through photography arts and increase credibility level between people from Armenia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine and Russia.
The exhibition embraces 35 best works taken in Mus, Wan, Kars (Turkey), Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv (Ukraine), Tserovani, Tsylkani, Prezeti, Tskneti, Zugdidi, Kutaisi, Tbilisi (Georgia).
The first exhibition took place in Kyiv, then it moved to Cherkasy, later it will go to Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv and Istanbul.
The project is financed by Black Sea Trust foundation. The project coordinator is Dinamik Gelisim Dernegi (Turkey).

Kyiv writer wins Premio Strega Europeo
Katya Petrovska from Kyiv received PREMIO STREGA EUROPEO-2015 for her book ‘Maybe, Esther’. 11 of 23 judges voted for the Ukrainian writer.
TOP-5 also includes writers from Spain, Belgium, France, Holland and Germany.
Katya studied theory and history of literature and Slavic studies at Tartu University, in 1994-1995 she studied at Stanford and Columbian Universities with ACTR scholarship.
In 1999 she moved to Berlin where she worked for radio stations Multi-culti, RBB і WDR.
In 2013 her book ‘Maybe, Esther’ got one of the most prestigious German awards, Ingeborg Bachmann Prize, and a year later Ernst Toller Prize.
PREMIO STREGA EUROPEO was founded in 2014. The first prizewinner was Marcos Giralt Torrente for his novel ‘Time of Life’.

Modern cardiovascular center to be built at Vinnytsia City Hospital
A modern cardiovascular center for 400 patients will be set at cardiovascular department of Vinnytsia City Hospital No 1. This project is a stage of Vinnytsia obast health development system aiming to improve cardiovascular care service and reduce the number of deaths of cardiovascular disease (currently the oblast counts more than 360 000 people with various cardiovascular pathologies).
Besides, the center construction and improved health care system Vinnytsia residents will get a possibility for free scheduled and urgent surgeries.
The construction costs will be covered by World Bank and local budget. The first tranche of Hr 6,129,500 will be disbursed in the nearest feature.
At the moment the equipment is being already purchased and medical personnel are trained.
The project will last five years and cost more than $36 million.

Kyiv student among best world young creators
Iryna Dzhuranyuk, a student of Advertising and Public Relations department at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, featured one of 32 young creators awarded with free workshop at Roger Hatchuel Academy (Cannes, France).
Every year during Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival talented young creators from different countries compete for a free one-week workshop from the best experts in advertising.

Ukrainian alpinists to conquer Hantengri peak
July, 12 Ukrainian alpinists left for Tian Shan mountain range to participate in World Alpinism Championship and Ukrainian Alpinism Championship.
The athletes will have to climb one of the highest world mountains Hantengri Peak (the highest peak of Kazakhstan which means ‘The Lord of The Sky’, its height is 7010m) and Victory Peak (7439m).
The expedition will last until the middle of August.
