Lviv, Kharkiv and Kyiv among the safest world’s cities

Lviv, Kharkiv and Kyiv entered the list of the safest cities in the world. As the portal Numbeo informs, Ukrainian cities took 121, 189 and 198 places respectively. The TOP-10 includes Abu Dhabi, Doha, Basel, Singapore, Quebec, Osaka, Tokyo, Berne, Munich and Zurich. Overall, 327 cities have been analyzed.

2018 Europe Prize goes to Ivano-Frankivsk

Ivano-Frankivsk received 2018 Europe Prize comprising a diploma, a medal and 20,000 euros to be spent on study visits to European institutions for young people.

The annual award of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe is granted for the second time in Ukraine. In 2010 the Europe Prize was awarded to Kharkiv.

Mykolaiv doctors perform a unique surgery

Тhe surgeons of the Mykolayiv Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital conducted a unique operation. Local doctors operated a 17-year-old girl with and removed a right kidney cyst of 5 cm in diameter. The uniqueness of the surgery is that endoscopic retroperitoneal surgery has been applied to treat adult patients only.

Kyiv invites to traditional chrysanthemum festival

Оct. 5, the traditional chrysanthemum festival opens on the territory of the Pechersk Landscape Park ‘Spivoche Pole’.

The designers of the 10 city’s districts will transform chrysanthemums into bright notes embodied in musical genres.
The visitors will be able to see and ‘listen’ to the music played by the flower compositions.

The festival runs until Oct. 28. The working hours: 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
