KAZKA band enters Shazam chart, first in the history of Ukrainian music
The young band KAZKA made a real breakthrough: its Ukrainian-language song ‘Plakala’ entered TOP-10 of the world’s chart Shazam. As Yurii Nikitin, the producer, says this is the first time in the history of domestic music when the song in Ukrainian achieved such a success.

Teenager Diana Yastremska wins the first WTA title in career
Ukrainian tennis player Diana Yastremska won the prestigious WTA tournament at Hong Kong Tennis Open final. The prize is $750,000. In the final a 18-year-old tennis player totally dominated Qiang Wang, China’s tennis star. Thus, Diana won the first WTA title in her career.

Film about Vasyl Slipak keeps its tour around the world
The documentary ‘Myth’ telling about Vasyl Slipak, an internationally renowned opera singer who was killed in Donbas war, will be shown at the DocsMX (Mexico City) and Doc’n’Roll (London) festivals.
In addition, the film will be shown in Gdansk within the framework of Ukrainian Week and at Ukraїna! 3 Festiwal Filmowy festival in Warsaw.
The film show schedule is the following:
– Oct. 16, DocsMX Festival, Mexico City;
– Oct. 24, Gdansk;
– Oct. 27, Warsaw;
– Nov. 14, Doc’n’Roll FF Festival, London.

Sweetshop run by Ukrainians gets Polish award
‘Cucernia Wyszukane Desery by the brothers of Shevchenko’ was granted the prestigious award ‘Orły Cukiernictwa’ in Krakow.
Overall, 5,000 companies were checked and over 180,000 websites such as Google Maps, Facebook, ZUMI, etc. were analyzed.
Serhii and Roman Shevchenko opened a sweetshop selling desserts of premium class two years ago.

Ukraine-themed fresco to appear inside of a Kyiv subway station
Within the framework of ‘MORE THAN US’ project 8 artists from around the world will create a fresco inside ‘Osokorki’ subway station. The work will be devoted to Ukraine, the internal strength of the Ukrainian people, cultural values, etc. The artists will work until the end of November. Apollo Tores (Brazil) and Matthew Dawn (Belgium) have already started working on their fresco parts.
