The Holodomor Memorial unveils in Toronto
The Memorial to Holodomor victims unveils in Toronto. The sculptural composition can be found on the territory of the Exhibition Square. In the center of the memorial there is a sculpture ‘The Bitter Memory of Childhood’ by Ukrainian artist Petro Drozdovskyi.
The solemn ceremony was attended by Mayor John Tory, Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland, and First Deputy Prime Minister Stepan Kubiv.

Bandura Music Days Festival to mix bandurists and DJs
Oct. 26-27 Bandura Music Days festival will be held in Kyiv for the first time ever. Outstanding musical experiments with folk instruments, interactive exposition of rare banduras and a special encounter with an electro-bandura will pleasantly surprise the guests. Additionally, the festival offers a unique opportunity to single-handedly make the real bandura and choose the national musical instrument of Ukraine at a special voting station.

Ukrainians of Chicago join the Columbus Day Parade
For the first time Ukrainians in Chicago joined the solemn parade to celebrate Columbus Day. Participants dressed in vyshyvankas (embroidered clothes) walked down the State Street. The Ukrainian column was organized by NGO ‘Ukrainian Women in Business’.

Ernest Airlines connects Kyiv and Rome
Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Airport launched a new flight to the capital of Italy. Kyiv-Rome flights performed by Ernest Airlines will be carried out on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The one way ticket price starts from 39 euros, round ticket costs about 78 euros. The departure from Kyiv is at 11:25 a.m., departure from Rome is at 2:20 p.m.

Lviv wins the right to host the world’s bodybuilding tournament
June 14-16, 2019 Lviv will host the World Bodybuilding, Fitness and Body Fitness Championship. More than 400 athletes from 50 countries are alleged to take part in the tournament.
Along with Lviv, Athens and Barcelona also competed for the right to host prestigious championship.
