The Stolen Princess animation wins prize at the festival in Ireland

The Ukrainian animation film ‘The Stolen Princess: Ruslan and Lyudmila’ won the prize at the 6th Richard Harris International Film Festival held in the Irish city of Limerick on Oct. 25-29.

The film won ‘Best Feature Award’ category.

At the award ceremony RHIFF 2018 prize was given to the Charge d’Affaires of Ukraine in Ireland Olena Shaloput.

WOG wins Real Innovation Award in London

The winners of Real Innovation Award 2018 prestigious international award were announced in London. Ukrainian company WOG is also among the winners.

On open voting result for ‘The Masters of Reinvention’ nomination the company took the 2nd place, while the judges awarded the Ukrainians with the victory.

Real Innovation Award is the London Business School, recognized as the best in Europe. The award winners are defined in six categories on two independent voting: the People Choice Award (open voting on the London Business School website) and the Judge’s Choice (a judge’s expert voting).

The girl from Berdiansk wins international beauty contest in Sweden

Miaria Svensson (Khabarova) won Miss Intercontinental International World, Missis Best Fitness Body, Missi Best Personality, Missis Queen International of Scandinavien 2018 titles at the international beauty contest held in Sweden.

As a child the girl studied and lived in Berdiansk. After graduating from lyceum she moved to Zaporizhzhia where she received philological education. He traveled all over Europe, worked as a leading manager in the Lithuanian transport company, then in Denmark and Sweden. It was in Sweden that Maria met her future husband. Now the couple brings up a 5-year-old daughter.

The Svenssons lives in Stockholm. Maria has her own language school (the girl knows eight languages) and works at a public school for foreigners where she teaches Swedish.

Ukrainian culture was first introduced in Denmark

Oct. 27-28, the first festival ‘Ukrainian Culture Days in Denmark’ was held in the Danish city of Randers.

The guests of the festival could taste Ukrainian cuisine, see performances of musical and dance groups, take part in master classes on dance and traditional Ukrainian crafts (weaving, wood carving, pottery), etc.

The UN Headquarters in Vienna to host Ukrainian Week

Nov. 12-16 the UN Headquarters in Vienna will host ‘Ukrainian Week’ aimed at demonstrating the significant contribution of Ukrainian women into development of society.

The event program includes: Interactive Session-Discussion on ‘Promoting Sustainable Development through the Active Role of Women and Women’s Leadership’; presentation of the Ukrainian club’s project ‘From inspiration to action’ telling about Ukrainian women at the UN in Vienna; exhibition of works on silk painting; educational-cognitive master-class on programming toy robots for children; concert; charity fairs of Ukrainian souvenirs and books; Ukrainian dishes; photo exhibition of replica of famous paintings in Ukrainian folk costumes, exhibition of wooden 3-D cards; fashion show by leading Ukrainian designers, Roksolana Bogutska, Olena Dats and Liubov Chernikova, in particular.
